The video on the left clearly demonstrates how the broiler feed making machine operates. Overall, the process requires minimal staffing, as feeding, conditioning, pelletizing, and cutting are all performed automatically.
Processed material enters the pellet mill through the inlet. To ensure smooth feeding, a variable frequency drive (VFD) adjusts the feed rate based on the specific raw materials, preventing blockages or equipment idling.
Inside the conditioner, dual-shaft paddles continuously toss and agitate the material, ensuring thorough mixing and cooking with steam. The material then moves into the pelletizing chamber.
Pressure rollers force the material into the die holes, forming long strands. Finally, a cutter rapidly slices them into uniform, dense chicken feed pellets.

Raw Material Cleaning
The cleaning equipment first removes impurities from the raw materials. At this point, the rotary distributor will send the raw materials into the crusher.

Grinding Section
Raw materials that are too large are not suitable for pelletizing. If the particle size is not within the 3–5 mm range, a crushing stage is required.

Batching and Mixing
Many chicken feed formulations contain more than one ingredient, and we will provide you with a mixer to ensure the ingredients are mixed evenly. Of course, if you are using a single ingredient, this step can be omitted entirely.

Pelletizing section
The chicken feed pellet machine conditions, extrudes, and cuts the material to produce uniform, compact pellets.

Cooling section
The freshly produced pellets can reach temperatures of 80–90°C and are relatively soft. This condition is not suitable for storage and transportation. Simply feeding the pellets into a cooler will reduce their temperature and harden them in a short time.

Screening and Packaging
Qualified pellets are directly packaged for storage or transportation. Unqualified pellets are returned to the production line for reprocessing. This step is mainly completed by a rotary grading screen.

How often does it take to replace the ring die and pressure roller shell?
For standard grain-based poultry feed, the service life of a ring die is approximately 1,500–2,000 operating hours, while that of a roller shell is about 800–1,200 hours. However, if your raw materials contain excessive amounts of limestone powder or minerals, the wear on these components will accelerate. During daily production, if you notice a drop in the pellet mill’s output or an increase in fines (powder), you should check whether the ring die and rollers need to be replaced.
How long is the warranty period for your chicken feed pellet machine?
