The bamboo pellet machine mainly goes through the following three processes when processing bamboo pellets:

Bamboo pellet mills are highly automated. You simply put the raw material into the feeding port, and the internal feeder automatically delivers it into the pelleting chamber. Furthermore, this feeder adjusts the feeding speed according to the properties of the raw material. You don’t need to worry too much about wasting raw materials.

When the raw material enters the pelleting hopper, the ring die and pressure rollers squeeze the material against each other, shaping it into a long strip. If you want different granule sizes, remember to change to the appropriate ring die. We currently offer ring die orifices from 4-12mm. Of course, we can also customize other sizes to your specifications.

The final step requires the cutters on both sides of the ring die to complete the process. Once the long strip of material emerges from the die hole, the cutters quickly sever it, resulting in smooth, burr-free granules. Considering that bamboo is a relatively hard raw material, we chose alloy steel cutters for their superior wear resistance.

Ensuring the cleanliness of the raw materials is the first step in granulation. This guarantees the quality and safety of the final product granules.

If your raw material is too long, we can provide you with a dryer. For high-hardness materials like bamboo, it generally needs to be processed into bamboo chips first using a chipper, and then ground into powder using a water dropper.

Before officially starting granulation, there is one last step to be taken with the raw materials: controlling their moisture content. You can first check if the moisture content of the raw materials is too high. If so, the raw materials need to be put into a dryer for dehumidification.

After completing the above steps, we can begin pelleting. It’s crucial that the bamboo pellet machine maintains consistency with other parts of the production line, including operating speed and output. Otherwise, the entire pelleting system’s operating speed can easily decrease.

Currently, the common formulation ratio is 80% bamboo + 20% wood.

Adding sawdust and wood chips during fuel pellet production can better aid pellet formation. However, it’s crucial to ensure the wood content isn’t too high, otherwise it can easily increase wear on the ring die and pressure rollers, potentially requiring frequent replacements. Overemphasizing formulation strength can lead to increased operating costs, which is counterproductive.

If using a bamboo pellet machine, is it necessary to add a binder?

No, it’s not necessary. Bamboo itself contains abundant lignin. Under the high temperature of the pellet mill, the lignin softens and acts as a natural binder, helping the pellets to form.

Besides making fuel, what other uses does a bamboo pelletizing machine have?
