This customized poultry feed production line is primarily used to produce feed for broilers, laying hens, and turkeys. The client is a long-established poultry farming cooperative that previously purchased feed from external suppliers. However, as the scale of their operation expanded, feed costs increased. Therefore, the client planned to build a semi-automated feed production line capable of flexibly producing various feed types.
After the client selected RICHI, our design team began designing the production line to meet their requirements. The core pelleting equipment is the SZLH350 Italian pellet machine. Furthermore, to ensure the feed meets the nutritional needs of different poultry species, we specifically added a mixer and an automatic batching scale to the production line, reducing human error and ensuring nutritionally balanced pellets in each batch.

Project Type: Upgrade of Existing Pig and Cattle Production Line
Location: Emilia-Romagna Region
Client Needs: This was originally a commercial feed production line that had been operating for over 20 years, supplying pig feed to surrounding farms. The client approached us to upgrade the existing line, requiring it to simultaneously produce pig and cattle feed. Furthermore, capacity expansion and automation were also required upgrades.
New Equipment: Add one more cattle feed pellet mill, introduce a forage hammer mill(specifically designed for crushing hay, alfalfa, and other lightweight materials), and a PLC intelligent system (allowing for flexible switching of feed formulations).

Project Type: Dog Food Extrusion Production Line
Client Needs: The client wanted to add liquid additives such as Omega-3, probiotics, and vitamins to their dog food to improve the palatability and nutritional value of the kibble. A twin-screw extruder was ultimately chosen for dog food production. This type of equipment is well-suited for processing high-protein products. The twin-screw extrusion expansion process can continuously output high-quality kibble. Given that excessive oil content in the raw materials would affect kibble yield and quality, we added the oil after pelleting using a spray coating machine. At this point, the kibble has a porous structure, allowing for more uniform and effective absorption of liquid.

Italian biomass pellet machine
Italian pellet machine for biomass does not have a conditioning system for biomass. Instead, they use a larger ring die and stronger extrusion force to compress waste materials such as straw, sawdust, rice husks, and bagasse into fuel or bedding pellets. Furthermore, we have upgraded the feeding system of our biomass pellet mill, primarily to address issues such as raw material arching and clogging. During production, a forced feeder and an anti-arching feeder forcefully push the raw material into the pelleting hopper to ensure smooth pelleting.
Unlike animal feed production lines, in biomass pelleting, the drying system is usually located before pelleting. This is also related to the high moisture content of the raw materials themselves.

Client Needs: The client is engaged in mineral material processing and wants to leverage their raw material advantages to process cat litter granules. The production line must be automated from raw material processing to packaging.
Main Equipment: To ensure proper bentonite granulation, a small amount of water needs to be added during the mixing stage for softening. The main equipment includes a twin-shaft mixer, crusher, cleaning equipment, cat litter pellet machine, cooler, screening machine, automatic packaging system, and PLC system.
5-7T/H Italian pellet machine for organic fertilizer
In Italy, the demand for organic fertilizer granules is continuously rising in large-scale fruit and vegetable plantations. The client previously processed and sold powdered fertilizer. However, powdered products were prone to waste and inefficient during application, leading to a decline in sales. Therefore, the client decided to upgrade their process and build an organic fertilizer granule production line.
We didn’t build a complete production line for them, but rather added granulation, cooling, and screening systems to their existing powder production equipment. Furthermore, RICHI added a distributor after the mixer to allow for flexible switching between powder and granule production.

The RICHI biomass pellet mill supports the production of 4-12mm combustion pellets and bedding pellets. Different pellet sizes can be achieved simply by changing the ring die. In Italian pelleting projects, this mill is commonly used to process various agricultural and forestry wastes such as straw, sawdust, and rice husks.
