Raw Material Cleaning and Processing
Depending on production volume, you will need to prepare sufficient raw materials. Newly transported raw materials need to undergo cleaning in the equipment to remove impurities. To ensure the safety of the entire process, the raw materials require cleaning at multiple stages.

Crushing stage
If your raw materials are already in powder form, you can mix them directly. If the raw materials are coarse, they will need to be ground. Unlike regular animal feed, the material will be ground twice to achieve a finer consistency. The finer the consistency, the easier it is for fish to digest.

Mixed Section
After being pulverized, the material enters a mixer for batch processing. Generally, it undergoes three mixing stages. First, the coarsely pulverized materials are mixed. Then, after a second pulverization, the fine powders are mixed again to ensure a balanced particle size distribution in each batch.

Pelletizing section
After mixing, pelleting can begin. The type of equipment can be selected based on the type of feed. The raw materials enter the pellet mill through the feed inlet. It also depends on the specific oil content. If the oil content of the raw material formula is greater than 8%, the pellet mill will easily slip during processing, affecting normal production. In this case, you need to reduce the oil ratio. If you want to increase the oil content, you can configure a sprayer to directly spray oil onto the porous granules, which will yield better results.
Speaking of which, the moisture content of the raw materials is also a relatively strict requirement for granulators. We recommend controlling the moisture content at around 24%-25%. If this is insufficient, water can be added during the mixing stage. This further promotes starch gelatinization during the high-temperature, high-pressure granulation process, allowing the granules to expand rapidly.
