Bagasse Pellet Machine

What is a bagasse pellet machine?
Bagasse pellet machines can transform sugarcane bagasse waste into a profitable commodity. Every 10 tons of sugarcane produces 3 tons of bagasse. If this bagasse can be pelletized into combustible pellets, the heat generated is sufficient to power industrial boilers, district heating, and other energy needs. This not only replaces traditional coal energy but also helps businesses reduce energy costs and generate substantial economic returns.
If these are the results you desire, then choosing a high-quality sugarcane bagasse pelletizer is crucial. Our equipment has passed international CE and ISO certifications. It boasts high output and low energy consumption. We can also customize equipment to meet your specific needs.
Hot-selling bagasse pellet machine
Bagasse pellet machines can be used to produce animal feed pellets, combustion pellets, and organic fertilizer pellets. However, we generally do not recommend using the same equipment to produce different types of pellets. Residual raw materials can cause cross-contamination, ultimately affecting pellet quality and marketability. Therefore, we have designed three different types of bagasse pelletizers to meet diverse production needs.

bagasse fuel pellet mill
The bagasse pellet mill for fuel is a type of biomass pellet mill. It features a larger ring die and lighter extrusion pressure, resulting in harder and more durable combustion pellets.
| Model: MZLH | Capacity: 0.3-4.5T/H |
| Power: 37-280KW | Pellet Size: 6-12mm |

bagasse feed pellet machine
Animal feed pellets prioritize palatability and nutrition. Therefore, we installed a conditioner on our bagasse feed pellet mill. High-temperature steam is used to cook the raw materials, making them more suitable for animal consumption and absorption.
| Model: SZLH | Capacity: 1-45 T/H |
| Power:22-315 kW | Pellet Size: 2-8 mm |

Bagasse pellet machine for organic fertilizer
You can mix bagasse and animal manure together to produce organic fertilizer pellets. These pellets have a more uniform nutrient composition, making them ideal as a substitute for chemical fertilizers for crop sowing in plantations and farms.
| Model: FZLH | Capacity: 1-26T/H |
| Power:22-250 kW | Pellet Size: 4-12mm |

- The bagasse pellet machine has safety protection devices to protect critical components in case of overload.

How to choose a suitable bagasse pellet machine
When you decide to produce bagasse pellets, the first step is to find a suitable bagasse pellet machine. This directly determines your pellet quality, production efficiency, energy consumption, and long-term profits. Below are some purchasing guidelines for your reference:
First, you need to determine what kind of pellets you want to produce, which will directly determine the type of sugarcane pellet mill you need.
Need to prepare your raw materials
You can contact your local sugar mill directly to see when you can purchase their bagasse. You can choose the most affordable raw material within your budget. If you are concerned about whether the machine you purchase can efficiently process the raw materials, you can ask the manufacturer to provide a raw material testing video. This is the most convenient method.
Be sure to choose the appropriate capacity
This is a crucial step. If the capacity is too large, the equipment will be idle, resulting in waste. Choosing too small a capacity is also inappropriate, which may lead to the inability to fulfill orders and ultimately lose market share. Therefore, it is recommended that you make a long-term plan with the help of experts.
You cannot only focus on the initial price of the bagasse pellet machine.
Blindly pursuing the lowest price may bring you more trouble later—frequent maintenance of the pellet mill, high energy consumption, lack of after-sales service, etc. In the end, the production cost will far exceed your initial budget. A more reasonable approach is to assess the overall operating costs and find the optimal configuration within your budget.

What are the advantages of using a bagasse pellet machine to produce pellets?
More and more people are paying attention to bagasse pellets. The pellets produced by bagasse pellet machines are of high quality and practical, and have great market potential.
- Bagasse pellets offer high returns. Firstly, raw material costs are very low. Countries like Brazil, India, and Thailand, in particular, have abundant sugarcane resources, producing large quantities of bagasse annually, often with the raw material available at virtually no cost. Combined with durable pellet mills, this ensures long-term profitability.
- They are easy to store and transport. The extrusion process by the bagasse pellet press produces compact pellets that are less prone to breakage. Compared to loose bagasse, pellets occupy less space and are less prone to damage.
- Bagasse pellets can be used in industrial boilers and heating systems. They produce less smoke and dust pollution and can replace coal and charcoal. They are an environmentally friendly and economical product. Given the global trend towards environmental protection, the production of bagasse pellets is likely to receive support from local policies.
- Experiments have shown that adding appropriate amounts of bagasse to animal feed is beneficial to animal health. Sugarcane bagasse is rich in dietary fiber, and steam processing by the bagasse pelleting machine maximizes the retention of its nutrients.

bagasse pellet machine production process
A complete bagasse pellet machine production system includes: cleaning stage, crushing stage, raw material drying, pelleting, cooling, and packaging.
Below is the complete process flow for a bagasse combustion pellet production line. If you wish to use bagasse to produce animal feed, you can also refer to our animal production line.

1
Raw material cleaning
This step is to remove impurities such as stones and dust from the sugarcane to ensure the quality of the grains and the safety of production.
2
bagasse crusher
The crusher will break the sugarcane into powder of 3-5mm. This is the optimal pellet size for the bagasse pelleting machine.
3
Raw material drying
To improve pellet formation rate, controlling the moisture content of the raw materials is crucial. A moisture content of 13-18% is generally suitable. If your raw materials fall within this range, this step can be omitted.
4
Pelletizing section
After the bagasse is processed, pelleting can begin. The raw material enters the bagasse pellet machine through the feed inlet, where a ring die and pressure rollers compress it into long strips. Then, a cutter quickly cuts the material into uniform pellets. If you want to produce animal feed pellets, the raw material needs to be softened in a conditioner before entering the pelleting hopper.
5
Cooling section
We use a cooling machine to help cool and set the freshly produced granules. After this step, the granules become dry and compact, fully meeting the standards for sale and use.
6
Finished product packaging
The final step is to pack the granules into bags. You can choose to pack them manually or automatically, depending on your production needs.
