Cow Dung Pellet Making Machine

What is a cow dung pellet making machine?
With the help of a pelletizer, cow dung is transformed into cylindrical pellets. This pelletizing process not only reduces odor and environmental pollution but also fully preserves the organic matter and nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients in the cow dung. Now, it’s no longer waste but a high-value-added product.
The cow dung pellet making machine doesn’t just offer a single production capacity. You can choose from 1T to 26T per hour. If that’s not what you need, we also offer customization services. In other words, whether you buy it for home use or want to process cow dung commercially, this equipment is suitable.
This type of ring die pellet machine can process not only cow manure, but also chicken manure, horse manure, and various agricultural and forestry wastes (straw, peanut shells, sugarcane bagasse, etc.). After proper pretreatment, these materials can be turned into organic fertilizer pellets.
Technical Structure of a cow dung pellet making machine
Cow dung contains moisture and fiber, often causing sticking and clogging during pelleting. RICHI recognized this issue and optimized its cow dung pellet making machine, optimizing both materials and components. Based on actual production feedback, this equipment can consistently produce high-quality pellets even after 24 hours of continuous operation.

Anti-arching feeder
This is a feeding auxiliary component. Through continuous agitation by the dual shafts, the raw materials no longer stick together, resulting in smoother pelleting.

Wear-resistant ring dies and pressure rollers
Alloy steel ring dies and hardened pressure rollers are excellent components for resisting abrasion from raw materials. This enables long-term pelleting.

Customizable ring die
If you want to produce both organic fertilizer and fuel simultaneously, a single cow dung pellet making machine can do the job. Simply change the mold size. We offer 1-12mm molds and can also customize to your needs.

High-efficiency gear transmission
The cow dung organic fertilizer granulator machine uses a high-precision gear drive. It can stably convert power into extrusion pressure. Overall loss does not exceed 5%.

High-quality SKF bearings
SKF bearings, equipped with a cooling and lubrication system, effectively reduce vibration and noise.

Security protection system
The safety pin is a safeguard for the safe operation of equipment. In the event of any equipment jamming or overloading, it will break off itself, quickly cutting off the main switch. This minimizes the risk of damage to critical components.
How does a cow dung pellet making machine work?
It’s actually very simple. The worker only needs to feed the raw material into the inlet. The cow dung pellet making machine will start operating automatically.
After the raw material smoothly enters the pelleting chamber, the ring die and pressure rollers will apply extrusion pressure, allowing the material to pass smoothly through the die holes. At this point, it will become a cylindrical strip. The cutter will then evenly cut it to the pre-set length. Finally, the pellets are complete.
Model and parameters of cow dung pellet making machine
Many farmers, organic fertilizer producers, and biomass energy companies are starting to use cow dung pellet mills to process pellets. The price of this equipment is generally between 10,000 and 10,000. Specific quotes will fluctuate depending on the required capacity and configuration, but the price range is fixed.
If you are considering purchasing a cow dung pellet making machine, you should not only focus on the price but also comprehensively consider factors such as machine quality, production efficiency, energy consumption, lifespan, and service policies. Focusing solely on the lowest price may lead to more problems later.
Therefore, before making a choice, you can seek advice from manufacturers with professional experience. They will provide a comprehensive evaluation and design a more suitable solution for you.

Application of cow dung pellet making machine
We can calculate that a single cow excretes approximately 60 kilograms of manure daily. With the continuous growth of global cattle farming, this means that the reserves of cow manure are enormous and virtually inexhaustible. Furthermore, many farmers now treat cow manure not as a commodity, but as waste that needs to be disposed of. Therefore, you can often obtain this raw material at a low price or even for free.
If this low-cost raw material is processed into pellet products using cow dung pellet making machines, and sold to the planting and energy sectors, it often fetches higher prices. It can be said that cow manure pelleting projects are very promising and have significant profit margins.
Applicable raw materials
He can easily process various animal manure and agricultural and forestry waste, but it is important to control the moisture content and size of the raw materials.

organic fertilizer granules
Cow manure is rich in organic matter, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. These are precisely the nutrients that crops need. Although its nutrient release is not as high as that of chemical fertilizers, long-term use promotes the reproduction of beneficial microorganisms and improves soil structure. In actual agricultural production, more and more farmers are beginning to combine chemical fertilizers and organic fertilizers to achieve better planting results.

Biomass fuel pellets
Cow dung is also rich in fiber, primarily derived from undigested hay and silage. This substance releases heat during combustion. Therefore, after fermentation, dehydration, and pelletizing, many manufacturers use it to produce fuel pellets for industrial boilers and district heating. To improve combustion performance, cow dung is often mixed with biomass materials such as sawdust and strasugarcane bagassew during pelletizing.

1-2T/cow manure fertilizer pellet machine in Mexico
Mexican client is a small-scale farmer with 250 dairy cows. They produce approximately 10 tons of fresh cow manure daily. If left untreated, this manure easily leads to unpleasant odors and attracts flies and insects. Therefore, he purchased an FZLH320 organic fertilizer pellet mill from us. The produced cow dung pellet making machine can be used for his own crops.
This equipment has a simple structure, a small footprint, and is easy to operate and maintain. The final quote was US$14,000.

3-5T/H cow dung pellet machine in Thailand
This was a retrofit project for an old production line, enabling the simultaneous production of powder and granular materials. To integrate the new equipment with the client’s existing system, we added a material converter to the design. This converter consists of a powder hopper with a movable flap. When the client wants to produce granules, the operator simply adjusts the flap’s position, and the material smoothly enters the new cow dung fertilizer machine

8-10T/H cow dung pellet making machine in the Netherlands
The client wanted to sell their produced cow manure organic fertilizer pellets to the horticultural markets of the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. Therefore, they specifically emphasized that the final pellets must withstand storage and long-distance transportation.
Based on these requirements, we configured a dryer, cooler, and screening machine for them. The pre-treatment and processing stages control the moisture content of the finished pellets to approximately 10%-12%. This effectively inhibits mold and clumping during storage. Furthermore, cooling and screening solidify the pellets and remove powder and broken particles, ensuring the final product is a standardized 4mm commercial pellet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Various issues may arise during the procurement and operation of equipment for a cow dung pellet making machine. Below are several of the most common problems, which we hope will be helpful to you:
1. Can fresh cow dung be directly granulated?
+
This is not recommended. Fresh cow manure typically has a moisture content of 75%-85%. It’s important to understand that in this state, not only is pelleting impossible, but various microorganisms and pathogens still exist in the cow dung.
We recommend pre-treating the cow manure, including fermentation, crushing, and drying processes, to reduce the moisture content to 15-18%.
2. Does cow dung pelleting require the inclusion of binder?
+
Generally, this is not necessary. Cow dung itself contains some fiber. During the pelleting process, the internal temperature of the cow dung pelleting machine can reach 70-100 degrees Celsius. Under the combined action of heat, moisture, and pressure, the fibers soften and plasticize, acting as a binder to help the pellets form.
If the customer’s cow dung has a low fiber content or wants to increase pellet strength, adding a small amount of straw, wood chips, sawdust, etc., can improve the forming rate.
3. Can cow dung pellets be stored for a long time?
+
Yes, it’s possible. After drying and cooling, the moisture content of the pellets is already low. Under proper packaging and storage conditions, cow dung pellets can typically be stored stably for 12-24 months.
We recommend storing them in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse to better preserve the appearance and performance of the pellets.
4. How long is the warranty period for cow dung pellet making machines?
+
We offer a one-year warranty, along with lifetime technical support. In the event of any equipment malfunction, you can consult our after-sales personnel at any time. They will provide remote guidance within one day and dispatch professional technicians for repair.
