For formulas requiring higher fat content, additional fat can be applied via spraying equipment after the extrusion and drying processes. This method supports fat inclusion levels exceeding 16%.
What is the extrusion temperature? Will it destroy the nutrients in the ingredients?
The internal temperature of the dog food extrusion machinery generally ranges from 90°C to 130°C.
