The original production line primarily produced powdered cattle and sheep feed, mainly serving local cattle and sheep farmers. However, with the development of commercial livestock farming in Ethiopia, the client approached us to expand feed production capacity and add animal feed pellet mills for pellet production.
Solution: During the production line renovation, RICHI did not completely demolish and rebuild. Instead, they retained the crushing and mixing equipment and added two pellet mills to operate in parallel. This way, even if one machine failed, some production capacity could still be maintained, minimizing downtime losses. Subsequently, to improve pellet quality, a high-efficiency cooler was added after the pellet mills to help the pellets cool and set quickly.
Final testing showed that the pellet powder content was controlled below 5%, and the moisture content was reduced by 12-14%, which well meets the requirements for commercial feed storage and transportation.
